Grateful to be included, AFRIKIN, a non profit organization based out of Miami, Florida, has lead years of events to help educate and innovate African Culture across the globe. For the month of February it is a privilege to share an art exhibit brought by AFRIKIN to the world virtually.

This is the first virtual show I have ever had, and it is set up the same way as if you were walking around a gallery. There will be 24 pieces on show and some will be accompanied by poetry. Others will have explanations about the painting and an insight into the process.  The pieces were chosen special for this show, and are a mix of new and old pieces, some that are published and some unseen. A moment of praise, a meditation, a  Reasoning. Remember that many want to tell the World about How Great Emperor Haile Selassie the First is, and we tell them about His Deeds, and we exclaim His Words, and the results of His Visits, however these are not the Highest Credits in the Eyes of Men or God. It is in His Faith He is Justified, as ones debate the actions, or question some of the translations, their is no question that The King of Kings was the Defender of the Faith. A title that even the Orthodox Church acknowledges and vested on His Imperial Majesty. Let us reflect on His Faith, that He openly prayed before the Earth, that He quoted men of Faith, and proclaimed that by Faith He would Conquer.

Romans 5:1 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” The Subject of Faith would come up when ones would ask the Emperor about Rastafarians, and the words of, ” Don’t disturb their faith,” or ” No one should question the faith of others, for no human being can judge the ways of God” – Haile Selassie. The Conquering Lion of Judah spoke of Faith from the perspective of God and not in the usual manners. This is what many who criticize the Rastafari faith don’t understand, that the Emperor does want us to have faith in HIM and He doesn’t question the faith of others for He too has Faith in Us that We can do more than we think we can. For Jah is with Us.

We have heard the famous scripture, Hebrew 11, ” Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. … And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” This is what Christ spoke of, The Ancients like Abraham, and Noah who were not perfect men, they had faith. In the Book of Mathew, Christ said you have to become like children, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. No matter what ones think, a child’s faith reminds I of many Rastafari in their jubilee, who Exalt Emperor Haile Selassie I! Many who can’t read, or write, and that doesn’t matter to Jah. It was because of Faith, Hebrew 11:5 tells us “By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death:”
No one is getting close to Jah because of intelligence or because of deeds, or how much Scriptures you read, your actions are separate from your Heart. In the Heart is where there is a voice that you listen too, or don’t. When you do, that is the Holy Spirit, that is there to see if you will earnestly seek with faith from the Heart which overruns the mind, and please the Father.
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” – Romans 10:17, listen not in your head with your ears, listen to your heart through the unseen ears that listens to your Soul and God speaking. The events that brought His Imperial Majesty here were not like the usual ways that people come, it was from unseen, unforeseeable powers that only Jah could manifest. He calls us to understand the difference of fear in our head, to the fear in the Heart when the soul knows Jah Is. Like Noah had, Enoch and Job. It is Reverence in the Highest to the True Head. The True Head is the Almighty, and Fear of Him is the beginning of Wisdom. Ras is a word for Wisdom and for Head, Tafari means in Amharic, Fear or Reverence. Ras Tafari, ” Head worthy to be feared.” The Man and Message of Wisdom, Gave us by acknowledging us by His Name, His Name. “Make Prophecy realized” as Hon. Vaughn Benjamin sang. When we see The Emperor Display Wisdom as His Crown, He is Feared and Revered because He knew who He was before we did. We beheld His Words Come to pass. In Reverence our Spirit Is caused to move. When He and the Orthodox Church told Us He is the Power of the Trinity, as Revelation said He would, in a Name that only He would know, He Is. Emperor Haile Selassie, before the world, was seen on His White Horse and it was as He went to war..Revelation 19 “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.”

That As the Defender of the Faith, Emperor Haile Selassie I showed that even in the 21st Century, with Faith, Courage and Just Cause, David will still beat Goliath.
Give thanks and Praise to the Almighty One, Egziabher, Qedamawi First, Haile Selassie I, The Conquering Lion of Judah. Root of David. King of Kings. Power of the Trinity . God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One God.

In the required precision of words in this time, InI had to take a time and meditate on the moment and thoughts that haven’t been said that could be a strength. I also am joyful to present new art that InI have produced in the last couple of months in conjunction.

We have globally entered a new time, and it is one that asks us to be more than we have ever been. The Covid-19 Pandemic challenged the politics and manipulation of words and truth. More of the World realized the power and weaknesses of being a world interlinked and somewhat reliant on each other. The ideas of rightwing governments clearly does contribute to a larger death rate than necessary. The wild conspiracies that have been unleashed fall apart easier because of the need for evidence in which there is none supporting the arguments, examples: that masks are political or that Antifa is behind the social unrest resulting in International Protests.  There is a need to express that though many are manipulating the narrative, Covid-19 is real, and it is important to realize that no matter who started it, it is a global threat and should be taken seriously.  What also needs to be taking seriously is learning opportunity that has been placed on the World to receive in order for humanity to evolve, concerning blatant racism, systematic racism, institutional racism, and environmental racism. All of these will come down to the methods of Empire, both modern and classical. The moment and timing may seem scripted or produced, keep in mind that the media’s job is to script and produce, it’s supposed to appeal to an entertainment quality not a accurate or true narrative. Journalism since its inception has strived, yet rarely achieves a non bias stance. Alright, next subject, True Liberation..

Rastafari as a movement is based in Black Liberation, it could be said that all faiths are based in liberation theology in order to have a liberating appeal and affect. Rastafari as a movement as diverse as we are, that realize that purpose of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I standing against Fascism and Colonialism, was that of a Spiritual war that attacked Foreign domination, resulting in the call for collective security, international morality and human rights. It was the moment when an African Voice would usher in a greater humanity if accepted. We look from an African perspective about ambitions that nations propose, and whether it is based on true unity or exploitation. For the most part, it seems that the methods of capitalism that most nations export is fostered on exploration of the poor and the destruction of the environment. Hence why looking at the treatment of the poor, who will be people of color in majority internationally will lead ones to conclude that attacking racism will conclude in the attacking of the foundation of capitalism and empire as we know it. There is difference between African American Political Science and Black Liberation, a difference between Political Pains and Prophetic Pain. What is happening within and around the Black Lives Matter movement is addressing the micro in the macro. Slowly the reasoning is expanding to the inherent relationship between Empires and the racism in many forms that exist locally where ever people live. It is not a solely American problem as international protests reveal, it is also not a new problem. When in my hometown of Albuquerque N.M. where a statues of Don Juan Onate were either forcefully removed or the removed by the city, reminded the world that racism was brought over by the Spanish, in which many were themselves were running from the Spanish Inquisition masking their Jewish identity. Sometimes in the case of Onate, the Spanish themselves found Onate to be a monster and told never to return to NM. The State has agreed, that it is backwards. Likewise the actual multi-national corporations that were involved in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade were not of one nation or nationality.  Extraordinary things are happening right now, as English Banks admit their guilt. Many corporations across the Earth as well as Banks are simply accepting that they have profited from Black Suffrage and want to make amends in some way. For the first time reparations are being spoken about in European countries that may result in action. Rastafari as a movement hold that Reparations, and Repatriation is part of the Redemption of Mankind. Being part of the process no matter where ones are from is a work for humanity at large and a Glory to God.

Though I am skeptical of ” Allies “, we indeed are a people that are all in the same boat and it is in truth that we will be better off as humanity working together. There is a great hypocrisy in the midst of the ignorance of the general United States population. Not to be condescending, coming from an African perspective, the United States is the Policeman that has had his knee on the neck of most of the world for decades. Except when Trump’s favorite dictators see dissent they use live bullets given by the United States to kill their citizens. The importance of the US citizens to be aware of the military industrial complex and the methods of control used by the super powers of the world, will conclude that there is no desire what so ever, to have accountability in the course of violent domination. Journalist as often seen as the enemy, and no one is exempt from being beaten. This was made very clear by Trumps Administration rejection of The International Criminal Courts investigation into human rights violations by US soldiers in Afghanistan on US soil. Afghan lives don’t matter to this government or the majority of its tax payers. The same Knee of the USA is on the necks of people of Yemen, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Libyans, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Muslim Chinese, Haitians, Cubans, Venezuela, and many more where their lives are discarded and the US is majority responsible.  These proxy wars, and drone attacks and sanctions, result in mass numbers of innocent men, women and children dying. Europes and the United States Foreign Policy is based on Military strength and has taught other nations that the law is about domination. The illusion of ” Freedom ”  and “Democracy” and Human Rights are a vague concept to most the world, this is because it is usually the US or another foreign power/ corporation that exercises their will on that population to feed that entities needs. They buy warlords, mercenaries, and politicians. This is the status quo, it has been so for thousands of years.

The call for Justice will only open up the serious wounds that are carried by indigenous people, it will also bring to light the global bias and disempowerment of women. As a human race, the fight for true equality and basic respect has only just begun, and no matter where the spring arises, it should be utilized to water as many plants as possible. We cannot forget that the fight for Justice and Rights is one that is rooted in Spiritual thought, and part of why Emperor Haile Selassie I presents so many solutions for the World to actualize. That this is a battle of Empire, a battle of the nature of what makes of the Kingdom of the Most High, or that of Babylon.

For Us as Rastafari, the way you see the Creator reflects about how you see yourself, and how the I see the I self, is how others will also see you. We are a reflection of an African King and Queen, and it is in the Order of the Conquering Lion of Judah, The King of Kings and the Queen of Kings we walk. Ethiopia is a beacon for the world to learn of perspectives and teaching that is not Euro-centric and yet also embracing of others. We see Earth as being both Heaven and Hell, and that this time was given as a challenge to live up to the Words of Emperor Haile Selassie I, that these are the last days of Babylon and that the Root of David, The Lion and the Lamb have already come to prepare us for this day and the days to come. Let the Earth be cleansed, and restored, as well as Our Hearts and Minds.

Greetings in the Name of His Imperial Majesty, The Light of the World, Conquering Lion of Judah, Emperor Haile Selassie I. Your Inspiration is Everlasting.

Welcome to the Winter Series, “Out of the Dark.” It is title so because of the many changes that have happened this Winter. Lots of those we Love have completed their cycle on this plane, and we all have had life teaching and challenging us. Let Jah Light Beam In. This series documents Nov. to Jan. of the art that has been made. Special for this presentation are many paintings never published will be shown today for the first time. I will not include the Scroll of Reasons because it has already been shared and written on in detail. All the pieces below are available as prints and some of the originals are available. I would like to thank everyone who collaborated in the visions and the art itself. 4 Joy-tings are collaborations with others, and that is super cool and special. This is the first piece I did after I received a surgery on my spine. It was an interesting point, because I had to see if my motor skills were good after having my spinal cord decompressed. This would allow my nerves to work on my left side of my body which had been giving me problems. The Joy-ting was that. The feeling of doing the stretches involved in painting and feeling muscles work again was what I needed. The Joy-ting came out with ease and effortless. A too effortless, and that is why I decided to put a more dramatic background than I previously had. My son’s and I worked on it together and made a video about painting techniques. This piece is for a special upcoming project, to be announced..It was a very heights project, that focuses on Rastafari. Here Emperor Haile Selassie  I is shooting energy into the Lion Man on the Earth. His Imperial Majesty shooting it from the Orb is to show that is the Energy of the Earth and the Fullness there-of which is that The Lord shoots into him. Out of the Lion Man’s mouth is the river that flows through the gentle land scape of New Mexico, symbolizing the Words of the Rastaman. Dre-Z took the lead with this piece and made the landscape perfect for New Mexico. His pueblo design is great and colors captured the New Mexican tierra perfectly. Likewise composition and layout was Dre-Z at the lead. This is the second Joy-ting we have worked on together, looking forward to lots more. The triangle designs are a traditional native design once again brought by Dre-Z. We would like to also give InI daughter, Tana Tafari-Morgan a hail up for painting in the pyramids. This piece is the 3rd I have done with Dre-Z Melodi. It is for a very special upcoming project…Placed on a New Mexico landscape, it goes with the last piece. This piece says          ” Ethiopia ” in Amharic, in a whirlwind. On the Whirlwind are the ancestors praying and singing for our resurrection and transcendence throughout the rising times. Seven Priests in Black represent each of the Seals placed on the Book, and the 9 priests below represent the everlasting order of Melchizadok.  The Man and Woman are the Balance of the Earth in their decision to use the Fire and Heart of His and Her Majesty to fly like hot air balloons but higher.  In their levitation/ livication to the King and Queen of Kings they are able to be the purple lotus. The lotus symbolize the Royal Children of Jah that have not been forsaken in the mud and moss, but grow like beauty for ashes. The Power of the Heart illustrated by Dre-Z goes off the page to reach out to go beyond the image. This is the most detailed I have gone into painting the Crowns of His and Her Majesty, Haile Selassie the First and Empress Asfaw Menen.  St. George is proudly shown on His Crown as is The Madonna on Her Crown. This piece has been spoken for, however prints look good and are available. This piece hasn’t been seen till today and we are excited to see this get out to the World! Starting with gentle drips I gradually kept moving the drips into each other, after a time, InI put His Imperial Majesty in the center to see what it would look like without red. Love and Life. Honor and Glory to His Majestic, His imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I. Pray thee well, Give thanks for Unity. On the subject of what some call the 3rd advent of Emperor Haile Selassie The First. I was asked about what were my thoughts on His Imperial Majesties Return in Flesh. I thought it was a good question to address, and I hope this offers some light on the different ideas I have heard and InI commentary. 

Excellent question with a deep subject at hand. There are many levels to this, I will say what I have learned first. From the start of many teachings of Rastafari, way before the internet, there was little importance to what happen to His Imperial Majesty after 1975 and His return. It was a non topic because it has nothing to do with Our Love and devotion to what has been Given. What more do people want from Jah, and what more could they been given than the solutions given to Us by the King of Kings. We were taught this isn’t about a body but THE Body of Christ and God in Us all. The teachings we received in the 90′s and early 2000′s, was that of learning everything about Emperor Haile Selassie I because His Cause and Position are symbolic of all Time. His plight and message is universal and His teachings are Just. His is the fulfillment of Revelations and of all spiritual books, because of bloodline, title, seat, and more importantly His Love for All. So we were taught never to speak on a so called death, because who He is, transcends beyond flesh. That is what We Glorify, We Praise HIM in the flesh because He is worthy, His deeds and thoughts are worthy of praises.  To simply this, If one expected HIM to return they didn’t get that He is the with Us because He is Us, like He lived and said and showed. That He has done His work will we do His. If He has to come again, and save us, then is it because we didn’t save ourselves.. after He showed Us how..These were the ideas InI was taught, that He is the Alpha and Omega, and that we are the new beginning. The New Earth and Heaven are in the making presently.  To not expect a return is to understand we have been given more than enough, and that His Word Has been said. Nothing more is required from Jah than our adherence.

Upon the subject of His Literal return, after the appearance of Abba Kedus more ones began spreading the ideas that this was HIM as a monk. I have heard good reasonings on both sides to support why this is and this is not true. We have also heard from ones like the Yogi that spoke in New York, speaking about how he met Emperor Haile Selassie in 1986 and that there were witnesses. This is the one story we can either debunk or verify by asking Crown Prince Zera Yacob Amha Selassie, the Current Crown Prince of the Ethiopia’s Crown Council. Which as far as I know hasn’t been done. I would love for someone to respectively present the witness and ask the Crown Prince if this is true.  There are also various sightings, some that the Ethiopian Church should also be asked to publicly acknowledge so that it can be meditated on. I am speaking on specifically the sighting of His Imperial Majesty surrounded by Fire and Lions on Mount Entoto.  Others both in and outside of Ethiopia have also said they have seen John Hoy in Flesh with their eyes. Who am I to judge. I have seen HIM in my dreams and what Has been shown to I is beyond InI comprehension.

That who ever it may be, that when Ethiopia accepts it Biblical King, then that One will be Earths Rightful Ruler again and Haile Selassie I’s Seed blossom. This belief system is based on the protocols of the Bible, Quran, and Judaism. It transcends Haile Selassie in flesh and then extols in Him in flesh by venerating their Son’s and Daughter that keep with Ethiopian Solomonic protocols. This was done with King David, His Imperial Majesty did mandate it for His Own Blood Line, making it mandatory all future Emperors must be of His and Her Imperial Majesties Blood Line. 

 I will conclude last with InI present thoughts… I can’t grasp what Jah will or will not do. I take seriously all that I have learned and do not come to conclusions based on my own understanding. This is a topic none can over stand. I also live and think about how I would be if His Imperial Majesty walked into my room, I try and be ready. I have had dreams where when I see HIM and I fall face down and surrender, other times He is teaching me about farming. There is an inner standing I have that The One we see as Emperor Haile Selassie I is with US always and forever, and has always been there. To think He needs to Return is to say He has left..He has never left us, He is and always will be Here.. It is beyond the Melchizadok order, because it was before Melchizadok,  He IS Jah. The idea of thinking we are absent of Jah Rastafari, anytime or anywhere is the illusion. Visible or Invisible, InI King is present. Immanuel I, King Sellassie I, Empress Mennen I, Jah Rastafari. He is and We are The Power of the Trinity Now and Forever.

I pray everyone is doing great, Jah Knows it can be hard in Winter and we have to get up the good vibes and meditations. There is so much to reason on and I figure a general update is in order. First, Haile Selassie I is still the reason for life, and as I venture on a journey of study it becomes more evident why Haile Selassie I represents the legacy of unity and the future of unity. I have started to write a book tackling many hard topics, and specifically inspired by the Emperor in an attempt to look at His Imperial Majesties objectives for the United Nations and what can we learn about how the U.N. works and what grass roots organizations can do collectively to create reforms and oversight. One of thing that is clear, that the vestiges of colonization in the U.N. is an internal battle that we should understand. As much as the vestiges of slavery are evident in the United States Government and voting and is a excellent parallel that is worth exploring. Ironically I don’t see a need for artwork in this book..Look forward to sharing more as it comes along.

The New CD is coming along with Brother Diles of Visceral View and we just completed a music video with “Editz” on the camera. The Music Video is titled “21 Gun Salute” and Features Hakim Be. and Ras Illy, and will premier on Green Chile in the Air Mix coming out soon from Central Root Studio. Mr. Kali, reggae artist from New Mexico, has a great album releasing Saturday, titled “Hungry”and InI am very honored to be featured on that album with Dre-Z on a tune titled, ” True Wealth ” There will be a CD release show for both Sgt. Remo as well as Mr. Kali this Saturday, Jan. 19th at the Boxcar in Santa Fe. I will be there sharing art and appearing for the debut of the new song.

When speaking of Akae Beka, and previously as Midnite, in his own words, ” Isiah wasn’t an entertainer.” When looking at the difference of musicians rarely will you find one that is a voice in the wilderness that cries both warnings and insights into the realms of Jah.

Some will call his “fans” cult followers due to our love and honor of the man, Vaughn Benjamin. If Cult is short for Culture, I have no problem with that. His change of name to Akae Beka will inspire thousands to read the book of Enoch and think about the meanings and messages. He music demands ones read in order to be educated, both religious works as well as secular and to choose the right. He brings to attention the call to be ONE and unchanging in our oath to the Creator. Few reach the heights he calls us to look at in reference to who we are and can be. His coming to New Mexico is a momentous occasion and one that will bring together the Children of the King and Queen of Kings. I my short life, I have never have I seen the magnetic pull and words to bring a sound of truth so liberating that I have to be there..It is beyond a joy, his words bring peace and inspiration to that which makes I create. If my art had a sound track it would be his poetry. I and many rank him as the greatest poet that has ever lived, and though it may take refinement, when ones actually hear what he is saying no one uses words more carefully and eloquently. We get entangled into the sound of sharp and healing tones and often miss the sober and serious recognitions of the time and call he brings. The show in Taos Sunday, Dec. 16th will be historic in our common bond that Emperor Haile Selassie I has been placed in our lives to be a beacon and light, a personal call from Himself and from the four corners of the Earth.  One that many have submitted to, and to be in the presence of those, is to be in the presence of Greatness. It is those who are humble enough to sit and know that on the streets, we know who is for us, we have allies, through Jah, Akae Beka across the Earth has been there in the sticks. In New Mexico, 9 Albums have been made for Midnite to Akae Beka. It is through the hard work of so many that it all comes together. Like a camp fire in winter, there are flames that resist the cold. In this time, it takes remarkable effort to not comment on the number of things that deserve comment. When being an artist, there is an intimate part of us that is silent and quiet, because our voice is thru our art. I meditate using art and tap into socially responsible subjects and issues, mindful that people need a healing. When creating, making art for a few is short sighted, making art for all including yourself is the big picture. When painting, I have multiple techniques and love combining styles, in which I will share some examples, beyond that is the effort into telling a story that in its repetition only grows. Part of that is making it so each inch is its own painting, there is a desire to make composition complete in micro ways. When viewing the art, choose any corner or piece of a painting and see that it is its own abstract piece. The healing is in the intention and the colors, it is in the desire to have order and chaos exist in a manner of harmony and contrast.
