It is a great joy and honor to announce the book release of, ” Mankind’s Last Hope ”  The urgent need to reform The United Nations Now. The book approaches the topic of reforms in this modern day by bringing forth new ideas and a draft proposal. Addressing many topics concerning the updating the United Nations for the sake of the future, and for the legitimacy of the Organization. The counterproductive veto power of the UN Security Council is the first obstacle to be challenged and will be the beginning of real change. The book looks at sociology and Black Liberation Theology as a method to formulating a pragmatic approach.

We are excited to now be able to share and invite the public to be involved with the launch of the book, and a new coalition called R.U.N.N..Through the development of an international coalition of like minds started the N.G.O, R.U.N.N. (Reform the United Nations Now) was formed. This group was founded after the AFRIKIN conference in Miami, last year. The enthusiasm and positive attitudes propelled the need for action and organization with a Pan African approach. Looking at the common goals of the majority of Mankind, we have formed a draft proposal for nations to build on, and for dialogues to open further.

We understand the gravity and weight of the topic, and humbly approach each subject with a perspective of needing to learn more in order to be of better service.  Being collectively aligned and in communication with other NGO’s, Human Rights and Environmental Activists, and with the UN representatives themselves, inspires a further call to action. Centralizing around the power of collective security, through vigilance and will, changes can be made.  We hope you will check it out and join us in this effort.  It is a duty and responsibility of both nations and individuals to  work for a more peaceful world. Through education and inclusion, the push to reform the United Nations can unite the general public to protect and update the greatest body for peacekeeping ever assembled in human history, possibly preventing humanity’s self destruction.

Akae Beka and Ras Teo bring Roots Reggae once again into the present day with a hard hitting gallop drums, on a stepper roots reggae riddim, produced by Roberto Sanchez.  Presented on 7 inch Vinyl with full color art work on the cover. It also contains a dub version that shows exactly why Roberto Sanchez has been a name in the Reggae world for decades.

To see JahSolidRock Music and Roberto Sanchez join together for the first time, meant the best musicians and production were to come.. It was an amazing journey watching the song being built to honor and respect the message of Akae Beka to the fullness. Ras Teo has been studying and listening to Vaughn Benjamin since 2003, and was a regular at Midnite shows. It was important that this song would reflect the power in the Word and Sound of the singers. The Message, the meaning, and we let that saturate the journey musically. The message was simple, ALL HAIL Emperor Haile Selassie I and be in awe that He Is in the time,  as prophesied,  He is real, true and factual.  Hosanna!

The best musicians came, and Roberto kept putting more and more in. With the back-up vocals sang by Caveman and Monique the harmonies were exquisite, and then great organs from Reuben Telford. Dubby Ambassah, A-Lone Ark Muzik Studios,  who has done percussions for Roberto Sanchez for over 20 years, played the Kiente Drum, and also transcended shortly after recording on this tune. We would like to honor his life and send prayers to the family for Strength and Innerstanding. His Heart Iration pulses in this and many tunes, Give Jah Praise for such an up full one. This tune was deep and been cared for by time it arrived for InI to listen to. With excitement the piece brought into visualization the way the song makes InI feel. I loved the lyrics so much, I wanted to push artistically and think of new ways to express creatively the message in the song. It was time to bring in a new style, I have never done for an Akae Beka album art, and to use computer coloring. This allowed 250 plus colors to be absorbed accurately, and using realism and comic style, ( Vaughn would say, Street Saga’s) and aerosol art techniques with NYC letters, I attempted to do something new. Pouring out love for the project was an honor, and everyone cared more about doing their best, likewise pouring out love.  ALLHAILBLWHTPOSTERJSR

JahSolidRock Music and Marc Bronner said we need a music video and made it happen. Sherkhan videographer in Jamaica, found a wonderful group of youth, and an insightful elder and went to work. The video shows, the elder, taking the youth out of the city, and teaching them about the Earth and plants, the fish and rocks, and the Water, to the Teachings of His Imperial Majesty and poetry from Vaughn Benjamin, Akae Beka.  I wanted to send a royal salute to the Youth in the video, thank you for being here. We also would love to see more of Vaughn Benjamin’s the Koll Pekude reprinted so more people can have a copy, since it is out of print and circulation.

We reasoned on shirts and Ras Teo and InI were left in charge. I linked with a good Ras named Tom Sierra in Miami, who is also a bit of a fashion designer. For years, the printing of shirts has been a difficulty, never full color really or bright enough, and very hard to get the art all over the shirt, ect… Tom brought his skills to the table, and we had something to build on. We had been working together for a while already, so hashing out the details on the shirts was fun. After agreeing to the finale design, it was a joy when was ready to present. Music likewise, the message and substance is becoming more critical to the masses that are tired of seeing hypocrisy from each other, especially when it comes to culture versus pop culture.

As an African, there is a feeling that is beyond joy when I see us all united. It is a good feeling to see we are not just the entertainment but the event is geared to educate. It is important to see ourselves as Africans because it bings a geographic location of source and place, when we say “Black” we are describing ourselves by a color, in which no one else does. There is always context when the European created title “White” speaks on heritage, they know where they come from, and can elaborate. We must elaborate, and realize that Africa is where and why we are, and to embrace Africa is to embrace the Lion and the Times.  The Lion within, the Lion of Old, and the Lions of Tomorrow. Lions have represented Africa from  long time, and even though, many nations call themselves lions that don’t seem to show it when it comes to African Pride. We as Rastafari sight the Biblically referenced Conquering Lion of Judah as The Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie the First, and so it holds a Spiritual and Religious significance. The Unity of the Lion and Lamb is shown in Our works in what we call Livity.

This new piece, is done with Acrylic and Indian ink, represents the Victory and Pain of Our Walk as Africans. To paint it live was to be in touch with the collective pulse that made it vibe further, and also reminding I of the struggle we still are in as Humanity. The Struggle is to see that life isn’t about conquest and domination, and that many have to rise in true leadership. In this trod, Africans across the world have inspired the World to be better people and aspire to peaceful solutions. From Nelson Mandela, to Colin Kaepernick, countless Africans have encouraged humanity to attain the rights and dignity we all deserve. In this legacy there is a shared trail of tears. A shared African Experience. That shared journey is one in which Native Americans and Africans were mixed up and disenfranchised for multiple reasons. Many Africans in America have Native American blood and like the Indigenous of most nations, forcefully deprived of knowing their Native and African connections and families.

We have globally entered a new time, and it is one that asks us to be more than we have ever been. The Covid-19 Pandemic challenged the politics and manipulation of words and truth. More of the World realized the power and weaknesses of being a world interlinked and somewhat reliant on each other. The ideas of rightwing governments clearly does contribute to a larger death rate than necessary. The wild conspiracies that have been unleashed fall apart easier because of the need for evidence in which there is none supporting the arguments, examples: that masks are political or that Antifa is behind the social unrest resulting in International Protests.  There is a need to express that though many are manipulating the narrative, Covid-19 is real, and it is important to realize that no matter who started it, it is a global threat and should be taken seriously.  What also needs to be taking seriously is learning opportunity that has been placed on the World to receive in order for humanity to evolve, concerning blatant racism, systematic racism, institutional racism, and environmental racism. All of these will come down to the methods of Empire, both modern and classical. The moment and timing may seem scripted or produced, keep in mind that the media’s job is to script and produce, it’s supposed to appeal to an entertainment quality not a accurate or true narrative. Journalism since its inception has strived, yet rarely achieves a non bias stance. Alright, next subject, True Liberation..

Rastafari as a movement is based in Black Liberation, it could be said that all faiths are based in liberation theology in order to have a liberating appeal and affect. Rastafari as a movement as diverse as we are, that realize that purpose of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I standing against Fascism and Colonialism, was that of a Spiritual war that attacked Foreign domination, resulting in the call for collective security, international morality and human rights. It was the moment when an African Voice would usher in a greater humanity if accepted. We look from an African perspective about ambitions that nations propose, and whether it is based on true unity or exploitation. For the most part, it seems that the methods of capitalism that most nations export is fostered on exploration of the poor and the destruction of the environment. Hence why looking at the treatment of the poor, who will be people of color in majority internationally will lead ones to conclude that attacking racism will conclude in the attacking of the foundation of capitalism and empire as we know it. There is difference between African American Political Science and Black Liberation, a difference between Political Pains and Prophetic Pain. What is happening within and around the Black Lives Matter movement is addressing the micro in the macro. This was made very clear by Trumps Administration rejection of The International Criminal Courts investigation into human rights violations by US soldiers in Afghanistan on US soil. Afghan lives don’t matter to this government or the majority of its tax payers. The same Knee of the USA is on the necks of people of Yemen, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Libyans, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Muslim Chinese, Haitians, Cubans, Venezuela, and many more where their lives are discarded and the US is majority responsible.  These proxy wars, and drone attacks and sanctions, result in mass numbers of innocent men, women and children dying. Europes and the United States Foreign Policy is based on Military strength and has taught other nations that the law is about domination. The illusion of ” Freedom ”  and “Democracy” and Human Rights are a vague concept to most the world, this is because it is usually the US or another foreign power/ corporation that exercises their will on that population to feed that entities needs. They buy warlords, mercenaries, and politicians. This is the status quo, it has been so for thousands of years.

That this is a battle of Empire, a battle of the nature of what makes of the Kingdom of the Most High, or that of Babylon.

Greetings In the Name of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie First.  It give us much joy and thanks giving to be able to publish in both English and Amharic Emperor Haile Selassie I’s administrations ” The People’s Faith, Prayer of Freedom.” This is the first time that this Holy Prayer has been published in English that we know of. We would like to livicate  this publishing to the Patriots, nurses, warriors, and soldiers,  who fought for Ethiopia’s Freedom. The World, Ethiopia and We, Ourselves are in your debt.

 

Preface:

I firmly believe that the world as we know it would not be the same if not for the bravery exercised by these Ethiopians, often very young, who never gave up on Freedom and the King of Kings. Honoring May 5th, Liberation Day, On This 79th anniversary of Ethiopia’s regaining of Her Country from Fascist Italy’s occupation, may this Prayer inspire all generations everywhere to Stand for Freedom, and for Ethiopia to preserve and protect their cultural history.  This little book, titled ” The People’s Faith, The Prayer of Freedom.”  Was issued by the Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I’s Government. It was put into the pocket of every soldiers uniform on the heart. I thought of how many died, with this book on their heart, and the long nights where it was the only thing they had to read or to find comfort in. How many memorized it,.. how many learned to read from this.. 5 long years, many without pay, shoes or blankets, fought night and day until they reached Freedom again. Some died in battle, and their sons picked up their guns and kept fighting, for Freedom, for Ethiopia, For the King of Kings, for God.

Kegnazmatch Azbite Habtemariam’s  father joined the ancestors in battle, and though he was just 13, he fought for five years with the Faith that Good over evil would prevail. Without food, water, and rest, unless from nature, he and many others fought. The evidence of faith and the vigilance of these great men, women and children are seen in the Ethiopians of Today. If it weren’t for men like  Kegnazmatch Azbite Habtemariam and so many others, Ethiopia would not be as glorious of a nation with Her courage and Her Love of God, Country and Freedom. We would like to thank Weyizero Seble Yemenu , and her husband Kabir Daitz for the translation and transcription. We would also like to thank Muluken Abegaz for his contributions in the study of this Holy Prayer.

First Published on the 13th of June, 1936. The Original Amharic text is included from the original publication.  It has been translated to express how it is meant to the Amharic reader, and has been presented in that manner in it’s translation. It is the wish that the English reader is able to conceive the idea’s and prayer in a way that suitably expresses what His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I wrote.  Mrs. Yemenu is from Ethiopia and speaks Amharic fluently as her first language, she has graciously written from an Ethiopian perspective in order that a proper Ethiopian interpretation is rendered in an English translation. It is provided on this platform so it may be free for all to read and see. Our goal is to enrich our collective Ethiopian culture and preserving our spiritual history, and prayers for future generations.

None of this would be possible if not for His Imperial Majesty, The King of Kings, Atse Haile Selassie I, The Conquering Lion of Judah, and Root of David. This book is published in the 10th month and 4th administrative year of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I King of Kings Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, 1936 Year of Mercy. 6, 13, 36, 1333, 3000

1.   We Ethiopians believe Ethiopia is only created for Us.

2.  We believe that Emperor Haile Selassie I Is a King by the Will of God, and His Life is only for Our own benefit.

3.  We believe that He is Our Brain Leader and We will follow on the ways that He will direct Us.

4.  We believe that the safety of Our Country will be protected only if We obey.

5.  We believe that if We serve, We can protect Our Unity.

6.  We believe that there is no full and joyous life without Our Government.

7.  We believe that there is a Divine Soul that carries freedom in Our blood which won’t betray Us to slavery.

8.  We believe that if We are not willing to serve Ethiopia selflessly, then We will be confronted by the God of heroes on the day of freedom.

People without freedom even if they are rich, they still poor, if they make a speech they can’t be heard, if they are developed, they still backward, if they are educated, they still illiterate. They are always dehumanized and used as objects by wealthy chauvinists.

What differentiates superiority between humans? Knowledge? race? Country? History? Its freedom. Those that don’t have it are like a body with no soul.

Our forefathers counted their population as one, and when they assigned ranks, they divided as Graazmatch, Qegnazmatch, Fitawrari and Ras, and this is one unit. The leader of this unit is The King of Kings Haile Selassie I. As the body who doesn’t have a soul counts as dead, the country that doesn’t have a King is not alive. Therefore, the Life of Our King of Kings is a guarantee of the Life of Our People. Long Life for Our King of Kings. May Our day and night dreams be about Our freedom.

Money can buy us everything We wish for except Our freedom. The cost of freedom is very expensive, We cannot buy it even if We have millions and billions. The people that know the value of freedom would rather die than losing it. We have to be vigilant.

The person that refuses to carry his own weapon will suffer and carry the weapon of the enemy. We learned that during our past times of slavery. The shortcut for buying one’s freedom is deeplyknowing the value of it and sacrificing life without hesitation. By doing this, we will remove the scars of slavery which entered to Us deceitfully.

As history told Us, in Israel’s tradition, slaves were released in the 50th year, but for Ethiopia the 50 years were reduced to 5 years.

“And it must occur that in case he says to you,’ I shall not go out from your company!’ because he does love you and your household, since it was well with him while with you, you must also take an awl and put it through his ear and to the door, and he must become your slave to time indefinite.” Remember the word.

The child who doesn’t love his father is not a child. Instead of living as a rich slave in the master’s house, it is a treasure to live poor in the Father’s house.

In closing, I would like to express how this Prayer opens the minds of what Freedom truly is, and Our collective duty to attain it. That these principals as expressed are true for all nations, that money doesn’t free your soul. True Freedom comes from sacrifice and vigilance to the cause of justice and to end subjection. That we should never sell Our honor and dignity, it is better dying in defense of it. May We be found acceptable to the God of Heroes, on that day when it is asked did we run or confront those who would want Us as slaves. I Pray The Most High Guide and Protect you all. That you are filled with His Holy Spirit, and remember that we are His Children. I pray that We forget not, Emperor Haile Selassie I leads our brains, if We let HIM. The EverLiving King of Kings. A Statement from the Crown Council of Ethiopia by its President, His Imperial Highness Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie Haile-Selassie April 7, 2020 / 29th Mägabit 2012 Now, as the world is falling victim to a global and indiscriminate virus and has entered into a new era of economic dislocation, the People of Ethiopia are being challenged as never before.

And yet we shall prevail.

It seems as if the Almighty, in His Infinite Wisdom, is giving one more test to the Ethiopian People, who were emerging from almost a half-century of suffering. We were given a moment to breathe, but only so that we could gain strength to face the coming period.

This is our true test. We believed we had thrown off the shackles of communism and tyranny. We believed we were set to resume the path toward true democracy. Then this new crisis beset us, and all the world.

We had been given the past two years to grasp the gift we were given: the freedom to work together as Ethiopians, as true brothers and sisters, regardless of our region, our language, or our beliefs. Yet many of us still had scores to settle after 44 years of communist “divide and rule” tyranny.

Now we need to set aside the bitterness of those years. We must set them aside. We are one great People, made up of many equal clans and tribes and regions. And we will only survive this latest plague of economic and physical hardship, and start again on the road to prosperity, if we focus on the importance of unity and discard the small things.

We know that we can and will prevail in this new crisis. We can and will conquer not only the temporary scourge of this virus, which has already taken its first Ethiopian lives in Ethiopia itself and in the Diaspora, but we will come together as never before. Those we have lost to this virus, and those we are still yet lose, are indeed martyrs who cause us to pause in humility, to cease our quarreling and come together again; in sorrow for the lost souls and lost time, but united and proud.

Their deaths — and the sacrifices of our healthcare professionals at all levels, and all those who volunteer to help those suffering because of this combined biological and economic virus — will not be in vain if we cease our bickering and rejoice in our ability to make our peoples once again greater than the sum of their parts.

We must all take heart and joy in the songs and symbols of our neighbors. We must give thanks that no Ethiopian can be set above another. And that no other people can set themselves above Ethiopians, just as we do not wish to set ourselves over others. We must give respect to the differences of faith through which each of us in our separate ways shows service to our Creator. And it is time for us to pray together.

No land has greater opportunity than Ethiopia. No people has a history deeper and richer than Ethiopia. We have each other to share and celebrate our triumphs — and there will be triumphs to come — just as we have each other to strengthen us through our trials.

In all of this, the Crown of Ethiopia is only a symbol of your greatness, your potential, your strength, and your compassion. It is yours.

Give thanks for the Day! Part of how I have learned how to live is to move with the current, which allows fluidity. Many of us have learned to do what we love, and though to some this is a luxury. Greetings in the Name of His Imperial Majesty, The Light of the World, Conquering Lion of Judah, Emperor Haile Selassie I. Your Inspiration is Everlasting.

Welcome to the Winter Series, “Out of the Dark.” It is title so because of the many changes that have happened this Winter. Lots of those we Love have completed their cycle on this plane, and we all have had life teaching and challenging us. Let Jah Light Beam In. This series documents Nov. to Jan. of the art that has been made. Special for this presentation are many paintings never published will be shown today for the first time. I will not include the Scroll of Reasons because it has already been shared and written on in detail. All the pieces below are available as prints and some of the originals are available. I would like to thank everyone who collaborated in the visions and the art itself. 4 Joy-tings are collaborations with others, and that is super cool and special. This is the first piece I did after I received a surgery on my spine. It was an interesting point, because I had to see if my motor skills were good after having my spinal cord decompressed. This would allow my nerves to work on my left side of my body which had been giving me problems. The Joy-ting was that. The feeling of doing the stretches involved in painting and feeling muscles work again was what I needed. The Joy-ting came out with ease and effortless. A too effortless, and that is why I decided to put a more dramatic background than I previously had. My son’s and I worked on it together and made a video about painting techniques. This piece is for a special upcoming project, to be announced..It was a very heights project, that focuses on Rastafari. Here Emperor Haile Selassie  I is shooting energy into the Lion Man on the Earth. His Imperial Majesty shooting it from the Orb is to show that is the Energy of the Earth and the Fullness there-of which is that The Lord shoots into him. Out of the Lion Man’s mouth is the river that flows through the gentle land scape of New Mexico, symbolizing the Words of the Rastaman. Dre-Z took the lead with this piece and made the landscape perfect for New Mexico. His pueblo design is great and colors captured the New Mexican tierra perfectly. Likewise composition and layout was Dre-Z at the lead. This is the second Joy-ting we have worked on together, looking forward to lots more. The triangle designs are a traditional native design once again brought by Dre-Z. We would like to also give InI daughter, Tana Tafari-Morgan a hail up for painting in the pyramids. This piece is the 3rd I have done with Dre-Z Melodi. It is for a very special upcoming project…Placed on a New Mexico landscape, it goes with the last piece. This piece says          ” Ethiopia ” in Amharic, in a whirlwind. On the Whirlwind are the ancestors praying and singing for our resurrection and transcendence throughout the rising times. Seven Priests in Black represent each of the Seals placed on the Book, and the 9 priests below represent the everlasting order of Melchizadok.  The Man and Woman are the Balance of the Earth in their decision to use the Fire and Heart of His and Her Majesty to fly like hot air balloons but higher.  In their levitation/ livication to the King and Queen of Kings they are able to be the purple lotus. The lotus symbolize the Royal Children of Jah that have not been forsaken in the mud and moss, but grow like beauty for ashes. The Power of the Heart illustrated by Dre-Z goes off the page to reach out to go beyond the image. This is the most detailed I have gone into painting the Crowns of His and Her Majesty, Haile Selassie the First and Empress Asfaw Menen.  St. George is proudly shown on His Crown as is The Madonna on Her Crown. This piece has been spoken for, however prints look good and are available. This piece hasn’t been seen till today and we are excited to see this get out to the World! What a Joy! Getting to know brother Michael and hearing his thoughts was a joy. He came up with many ideas for this and it was a joy to work together. In the Center is Christ and His Essence continuing to Mariam Magdalena and the children that come forth after. The Elephants represent to the love between Man and God and Man and Woman. How the contrasts of light and dark reflect in the personality of the King of Kings and Queen of Kings, and Brother Leslie said, paint a futuristic city of Jah. I greatly enjoyed doing this piece. Starting with gentle drips I gradually kept moving the drips into each other, after a time, InI put His Imperial Majesty in the center to see what it would look like without red.
